Born and raised in Holden, MA, I have always loved making art ever since a young age. I have always been fascinated with painting, I taught myself how to paint religiously by watching old Bob Ross reruns on YouTube during middle school. My first eye-opening experience in the arts was while I was attending Eagle Hill High School, located in Hardwick, MA. There, I was taught woodworking and the basics of graphic design, and I quickly accelerated at silk screen printing. After being accepted into Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA, I continued to work towards my Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, with a double minor in Photography & Videography.
In the year after my 2022 Graduation, I worked a few part-time jobs continuing my practice in Graphic Design before being invited as the flagship student for Anna Maria College’s Graduate art program in the fall of 2023.
While studying for my graduate degree, I created a 30-minute short film based on my journey as an artist through my sketchbooks and other skills I picked up along the way, such as sound design, animation, video editing, and illustration. Shortly after the completion of the film, I started to study alternate avenues for creating landscapes, which led to the creation of my Reductive Painting method. In the spring of 2024, I completed my thesis titled LIFEBOOKS (2016 - 2023) Perspectives & Reality, which was my first solo exhibition.
Since achieving my graduate degree in integrated media arts, I have been teaching as an adjunct professor at Anna Maria College. I have shown work in Arts Worcester’s 2024 12th Annual One and Small Works shows. Additionally, achieved Special Merit in Light Space and Time’s 2024 14th Nature Art Exhibition, Juror’s Choice Award in Camelback Gallery’s My Best Work of 2024 show, and Finalist Award in Taravana’s 13th Abstract 2024 Juried Art Competition.
I have recently completed the STAR Artist in Residence program in Conjunction with Eagle Hill School, Hardwick, MA, working on my new series titled Winter In New England, a collection of multimedia landscapes and abstract works focusing on the mood of Winter in Central Massachusetts and the reactionary feelings based on current events.
